October is my birthday month and I spent the morning making my rounds picking up and enjoying free birthday gifts! Here is a list of some of my scores this year!
Sephora – Sign up to be a “Beauty Insider” and receive an e-mail to get a free gift in-store (valid 14 days before and 14 days after your birthday). This year the gift was a free Beautiful Eyes Kit including mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow. Last year it was a pack of 3 lipglosses!
Aveda – Join Aveda’s Birthday Program and receive a coupon in the mail for a to redeem during your birthday month. This has been my favorite birthday freebie so far. At the store, I went through a bunch of fragrances with an Aveda staffer and developed my own “personal” scent. Then I got to choose my product – I chose their free hydrating formula lotion – and she mixed up my bottle for me right there – very fun!
Starbucks - Register any Starbucks Gift Card (buy a $5 gift card for yourself next time you are buying a cup of coffee if you don’t have one) and you will be a member of My Starbucks Rewards Program. As a member, you will receive a coupon for a free drink in the mail around your birthday!
Caribou Coffee – Same deal - Register any Caribou Gift Card and you will get an e-mail to print and use on your birthday for any free drink.
Dunkin’ Donuts – Join Dunkin’ Perks and receive a coupon for a free medium beverage in the mail just for signing up as well as a coupon for a free medium beverage around your birthday!
Cold Stone Creamery – Join Cold Stone’s Birthday Club – to get a e-mail coupon for a free ice cream on your birthday!
Your Favorite Mall - Join The Club – The Club is affiliated with several malls in each state – you can choose which mall is closest to you. They send out great coupons throughout the year and this year for my birthday, I received an e-mail with a coupon for a free $10 American Express gift card. I just had to bring it in during the month of my birthday so this morning I brought it into my mall (Water Tower Place here in Chicago) and picked up my free American Express card!
